Building Permit Fees

Failure to obtain permit prior to starting work = double fee

Building permits are required for the following: 

New Houses:

👉🏻 Single Family including Plumbing, Electric, HVAC, Const, Erosion = $850 + $100 Park Fund + $35 State Seal + $150 new address + $25 culvert (if indicated)

👉🏻 Two Family including Plumbing, Electric, HVAC, Const, Erosion = $1,050 + $100 Park Fund + $35 State Seal + $150 new address + $25 culvert (if indicated)
 

If you are building a new home you will need to submit an online application for a permit at DSPS Online Building Permit System - Application (wi.gov) .  Once the online application is complete, you can contact Paul Hermes and submit your plans and other required information to him.

Other:

👉🏻 New Addresses = $150
👉🏻 State Seal (required for new homes) = $35

👉🏻 Detached Residential Garage/Shed = $100 (plus $1.00 per 100 sq ft over 1,000 sq ft) (Not including Mechanical)
👉🏻 Storage Buildings = $100 (plus $3.00 per 100 sq ft over 2,000 sq ft / Not including Mechanical Fees)

👉🏻 Residential Additions/remodels= Based on individual permit application/inspections indicted

👉🏻 Electric Service Inspection = $75

👉🏻 Const/Plum/HVAC/Electric = $50

👉🏻 Solar Inspection = $150

👉🏻 Razing a structure = $50

Town building permits are not required for: re-roofing, siding or replacement windows or doors.  Town building permits are also not required for the following, however, you should contact the County Planning and Zoning Office at (920) 832-5255 to see if there are county requirements for these items:

👉🏻 Fences

👉🏻 Signs

👉🏻 Ponds

👉🏻 Pools

Commercial Buildings (new or remodeled) - Call Town Hall for details
Permits issued through Town of Oneida/Paul Hermes. Inspections are completed through Department of Safety and Professional Services. District 7. Commercial Building Inspector District Map
